Puppy School by Canine Cares operates at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. We provide group dog training classes for puppies and adult dogs. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you interact with our website (puppyschool.my) or enrol in our programmes.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Your information may be shared only with payment processors or service providers who help us operate our business, and only to the extent necessary.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as you are an active client and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

1. Enrolment & Booking
Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. By completing payment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Vaccination Requirements
All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations before attending classes. Puppies must have completed a minimum of 2 vaccinations, with the last dose given at least 10 days before the first class. Proof of vaccination must be presented on Day 1. Puppy School reserves the right to refuse entry to unvaccinated dogs.
3. Health & Fitness
Dogs must be in good health to attend. Female dogs in season (heat) are not permitted in class. If your dog is unwell on the day of class, please do not bring them — contact us to discuss options.
4. Behaviour Disclosure
Owners must disclose any known behavioural issues, including aggression, reactivity, or fear, before or at the time of enrolment. Puppy School reserves the right to refuse or remove any dog that poses a safety risk to other dogs, owners, or trainers. No refund will be issued in such cases.
5. Attendance
The programme consists of 6 weekly group sessions. Consistent attendance is strongly recommended to achieve the best results. If you miss a class, contact us as soon as possible — we will do our best to help you catch up, though make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
6. Supervision of Children
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Children must not handle dogs other than their own without permission from the trainer.
7. Refund Policy
Fees paid are generally non-refundable. However, if you decide not to continue after attending the first class, a partial refund may be considered after deducting a RM50 administrative fee. No refund is available after the second class or later. If Puppy School cancels a class, it will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
8. Liability
Owners are fully responsible for the behaviour of their dogs at all times during classes. Puppy School and its trainers shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by or to your dog during or as a result of attending our classes. All dogs attend at the owner's risk.
9. Photography & Media
Puppy School may take photos and videos during classes for promotional use. If you do not consent to this, please inform your trainer before the first class.
10. Changes to Schedule
Puppy School reserves the right to reschedule or modify classes due to unforeseen circumstances, including venue issues, trainer availability, or public holidays. Affected participants will be notified as early as possible.

A 6-Week Journey With You And Your Dog
Syllabus for Puppy Class
(up to 11 months)
- Maintains puppy’s health (vaccines, exams, appears healthy)
- Describes adequate daily play and exercise plan
- Attends (with puppy) at least 5 classes, including graduation walk
- No aggression toward people during the 6 weeks of class
- No aggression toward other puppies in class
- Tolerates collar of owner’s choice
- Owner can hug or hold puppy (depending on size)
- Allows owner to take away a treat/toy
- Allows (in any position) petting by a person other than the owner
- Grooming: Allows owner handling and brief exam (ears, feet)
- Walks on a Leash: Follows owner on lead in a straight line (15 steps)
- Walks by other people: Walks on leash past other people 1.5m away
- Sits on command: Owner may use a food lure
- Down on command: Owner may use a food lure
- Comes to owner from 1.5m when name is called
- Reaction to Distractions: distractions are presented 5m away
- Stay on leash with another person (owner walks 10 steps and returns)

Meet Our Dog Trainers
Rubini Maruthian is a certified professional dog trainer from Animal Behaviour College (USA), a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, the mother of two young children, and an avid dog lover. Dog Management Training Videos by Rubini here.
She is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) as a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator.
Prakash Raman is a highly experienced dog trainer with more than 10 years of experience in the field. He specialises in working with large-breed dogs. Prakash applies a balanced training approach through real-life scenarios to help dog owners achieve their desired training goals.
He is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) as a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator.
